Do I need my USAT card at IMWI registration?

I was sitting at home last night and two giant Ford promotional semi-trailers pulled up to the hotel across the street from me. They’re likely downtown now unloading the 3 Excursions, the video monitors, and whatever other consoles, displays, and electronics are necessary to create a focused interactive marketing experience, or something. If I were living in the 18th century and I saw these trucks, I would think I had gone crazy. They’re huge. I hope one of them is full of Ford water bottles to give out at the expo… and not the cheap kind that leak, the good Specialized ones.

Now that GTG is officiating the race, do I have to bring my USAT card to registration today? I left mine at home, and it’s at least a 3 block detour for me to stop back at home on my way to registration this afternoon.

Even though IMLP was a GTG race you still needed your USAT card to register, else you had to pay some fee. I didn’t take my USAT card but a bloke in the press room let me on line to print out a temporary card from USAT’s website.
