this may not be recommended or safe. You may die if you try this. Don’t sue me as I have no money. seriously.
I fit my diacompe 188s in there by taking off the silver expander plug (unsure of technical name). I couldn’t see any way to get them in there w/o that modification. I’ve had no problems with mine though. I know the cervelos come stock with that set up.
The FSA levers have an external clamping system with a 22.2mm ID. They will therefore only fit the Vision bars (22.2mm OD). With a special adapter they will fit onto regular aero bars (24mm OD)
Most other tri/TT brake systems use an internal clamping system. As long as the clamping mechanism fits inside the bar, it will work.
Vision requires only his brake levers on the complete Vision aerobar, the one that comes base bar, stem and extensions one in one piece. In the other Vision products, like the bas bar only, you can use the brake levers that you want.
I’m trying to get my Blackwell levers in and they won’t go. For those of you who installed them yourselves, what did you do to get them to fit because the inside diameter of the bars is smaller than the outside diameter of the brake lever expansion plug.
