DMT Flash - Anyone riding in them?

Anyone using the DMT Flash and if so what do you like and or dislike? How do they size compared to a Sidi or Shimano? I have quite a few roadie friends who really like them especially since they are so light. Thanks.

I am using the Kyoma (the 3 strap version of the flash) and they are hands down the most beautiful shoe I have used. No internal seams or stitching, super stiff, rather light, and they look really cool. The sizing is pretty much bang on. I am always a 9.5 in my running shoes and the 43 fits perfectly. The only downside is the $$. But, now that I own them, I doubtfully would go back to anything else.

Thanks - I was thinking of the Kyoma as well. Why did you go with the three-strap version?

I used them briefly at the beginning of last season. I could never get a comfortable fit. I had to ratchet down the strap to keep them tight, which would result in serious soreness on the top of my foot. The soles of my feet hurt after long rides. I tried molded bike shoe inserts (heat in oven, put in shoe, form to foot). This did not help. I even exchanged them for another size, but, that did not help.

I think they are great, very stiff shoes, which is why I got them. However, they never worked for me. I have a very narrow foot, which may have been the problem.

I use them for both bike racing and tri’s. My transitions are slow enough as it is, so I figured messing around with a buckle mechanism would be a bad thing. A buddy of mine uses the Flash, and he loves the buckle. But, he is purely a roady.

three straps? wondering any good bike shoes for tris out there with one strap, no more than two which are stiff and fit narrow feet…like mine…thanks
transition times are fast and want to keep em fast.

I have very narrow feet and I use the Specialized Trivent. I love 'em. They fit very well, have one main strap and one small one on the front that you set and never have to adjust again. Plus, the main strap has a little ridge that holds the shoe open and the strap out of the way for quick entry when mounted on the bike.

These rock and have only one really wide strap. Extremely stiff. I picked up a brand new pair on eBay for $40. Ah, one of the benefits of having really small feet.
