training for my 2nd IM – 1st was Florida. Looking for a training buddy to swap workouts/track progress for Ironman Arizona. I will be peaking out at 12-14 hours per week (I hope), and hoping to post a sub-12hr Ironman. IM FL splits are 1:04/6:15/4:45 + transitions = 12:16:31. Hoping to show the most improvement through the bike and run. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss training strategies with any and all with similar background and goals.
Does this sound too much like a desperate personal? God help me, I need a 12 step program to get me off of this IM train.

haha… that was funny as hell. i can just picture this bubble orbiting someones body under the wetsuit. classic.

Florida was my first IM and I too will be in AZ. I think I have got the bug just like you. Florida splits were 1:09/5:47/4:26 + transitions for 11:35:12. Hoping to go close to 11 in AZ but the course may not allow that.

Hi my name’s Relax2dmax and I have and endurance sports disorder…It all started innocently enough - basketball. Everyone plays basketball, right? It was friendly competition, but it wasn’t enough. I kept trying play more nights a week. My friends didn’t know the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde existence. Pretty soon, I turned to running. More and more. Then cycling. An innocent “date” with a swim coach turned into Masters Swimming and before I knew it, my finger was hovering over the Enter key, while looking at the website for signing up for Ironman. I did an Ironman, then another and lost track for a while. Thanks to all the help from my new friends in this 12 step program, I’ve been triathlon free since August. I’m getting restless, irritable and discontent though. All my former friends are riding, running, joking about their great plans for IMAZ. I don’t know how long I can hold out. I can’t seem to stay away.
