Disc Brake Rotor Size 140 vs 160 mm

thanks!

I welcome any additional perspectives since the internet was surprisingly devoid of first-hand experience with discussing this issue, at least for those people who are lighter weight. I think a campagnolo engineer was quoted saying something to the effect that since many riders are 80kg, they recommend 160 rotors up front. I’m 64 kilos. I didn’t take that quote necessarily to mean if you’re under 80 kg you should use 140s, though, it’s a weird sort of message. and I tried instagram-hawking pics of a few pro’s bikes, and it looks like many of them use a 160/140 combo, despite many of them being light human beings. But they have mountain descents to deal with, and probably want extra braking power so they can rip into corners and shave a few milliseconds off a turn and all that. Plus, don’t they need a unified standard rotor size for wheel swaps and neutral service? so do they defer to 160 fronts because of those factors?
