I found this on my PC…this was a shirt I was wearing at a TT that I got attacked by a dog.

The last time that happened to me the dogs owner tried to sue me because they couldn’t get the dogs blood out of its coat. Hell yes I bite back!
The only time something like that has happened to me, I nearly ended up being arrested by the county sheriff for “cruelty to animals” when I nearly killed a dog after the animal - a medium size black lab - was stupid enough to lunge/bark/bite at the wife and I during a training ride! The sheriff/deputy that were wanting to arrest me were brought to their senses when the wife (an attorney) mentioned something about self defense and the county ordinance/leash law which the dog/dog owner had violated. The dog owner/redneck decided shortly afterward that it was best not to persue the matter further when the wife used the phrases “attorney”, “law suit”, and “end of time” all in the same sentence that was spoken in a tone of voice I had never heard her use before (nor do I ever want to hear again)!
I just noticed that you live in Houston. I live by the medical center in Houston, and was running along the Braeswood Bayou when a medium sized black lab just ran right for me and clamped down on my leg. The owner was kind of an a$$ about the whole situation, and tried to get me to sign legal documents later releasing him from all liability for the incident. I just thought it would be funny if it was actually the same dog.

Well not sure that would be all that funny if I were in your shoes but the dog we had problems with was located in the Northwest part of the county near the border between Harris and Waller counties. Fortunately that dog is no longer with us because although it took the dog a little to recover from my “attack”, a couple months after our run in with him, the same was subsequently killed when it was struck by a car while giving chase to another group of cyclists. Do not get me wrong because we love animals - had a hard time when a baby kitten (stray) started chasing/mewing after us on Sunday on the roads between Washington and Chappel Hill - but in the case of that dog it was kind of poetic justice.
