Do you automatically qualify as a Dirty Old Man if you watch the Miss Teen USA pagent?
Oh well, guess I’d better put the Bears game back on.

Only if you start looking them up on the internet . . .
Not quite, but close. If you were glued to your TV during the “women’s” gymnastics portion of the '04 Olympics, you can call yourself a dirty old man.

I just turned on the TV and saw them parading around in their yellow bikinis. I’d kill to look like that. It freaks me out that they are actually as young as they are.
I’d kill to look like that.
Why - I am sure I will catch flack for this but in my experience, many of these pageant girls are not much more inteligent than a rock. Now although that might make them good candidates for a future episode of Howard Stern, the contest affords very few of them any real opportunities beyond the actual pageant which does not help them much once they discover the benefits of solid food. I also feel such pageants promotes superficial and unhealthy attitudes amongst the competitors and I highly doubt thgat more than a couple of them would ever consider riding a bike in the heat and humidity of the great outdoors - much less throw in a swim before with a long run afterwards!

“In my experience”? Did you used to be a pageant girl?
How intelligent do you expect a 16 year old girl (or boy) to be?
If someone is attractive, do you presume they have the intelligence of a rock? I’m sure Ms. Virginia (circa 2000), whom I went to law school with, would disagree.
I’m not at all a supporter of “pagaentry”, especially when you see those documentaries on young kids doing it. However, I’m sure most of those girls on tv last night will grow up to be just fine.

That stereotype went away along with the stereotype that girl softball players look like “butch”.
Women have changed, my man … even the hot ones are encouraged to show their “smarts”. Very few females live up to that stereotype of being the “pretty, fun girl”, twirling their hair in a low cut blouse. I can say this, as a teacher, the girls that people would call the “most attractive” are usually involved in many sports/clubs, and on the honor roll in a college-prep program. I coached softball my first 3 years of teaching, and was just amazed at how tough these “princesses” were. Those “chicks” knocked down stereotype after stereotype.
Funny you ask. I was wondering the same thing myself. Had to turn it after about 5 minutes.

During her reign, LaForce will also share an apartment in Manhattan with Miss USA and Miss Universe, though she will fly back and forth to Ohio to finish high school.
LaForce plays varsity basketball, volleyball and softball and also sang at Carnegie Hall with her school choir.
I keep gettin’ older, they stay the same age.
I definately felt like a dirty old man as I was thumbing thru my daughters “Teen Elle” magazine or some such nonsense…that’s just not right I tell ya.

You get to a point where you view them as “little sisters” (said in all seriousness). Certainly you notice they are attractive, but you don’t see them and think “Man, I gotta have some-a-dat”.
I am surprised when I hear comments from friends and strangers regarding teenage girls. Sometimes I can’t tell if they are serious or if they are just making what they seem to think are “macho jokes”. I have a daughter that will one day been a teen, so perhaps my perspective is different than others.
Possibly not. You might just be a dirty young man.
Sadly, not in our cases.
