Is anyone out there doing the Dirty Duathlon at Granite Beach (Folsom Lake CA) on Feb 1?
This is a 2 mile trail run/6.5 mile MTB/2 mile trail run format.
Anyone done it before?
Looking for some info on the bike course. I’m planning to drive up and pre-ride it but am guessing the course is not marked out ahead of time. Looking for some info on trail names etc so I can take the right route.
The organizers have put up a map but lacking all this info.
You need to preride the course several times. I’ve done this race once. I do a lot of their road bike duathlons and usually do okay but I’m horrible on a Mtn bike. I found the course tough and a lot of people do it all the time. There are several lines in a few places and not all of them are good. TBF is a great outfit. You’ll have a great time and their courses are fun and challenging. Good luck and have fun. I just thought of another thing… They do a lot of Mtn bike races there as well. You could race it ahead of time in a MTB only race, check out their schedule at tbfracing.com
PS pre ride the course at least once.

My question is: if I come up before it’s marked, is it going to be obvious what the course route is?
Do you know the names of the trails etc?
I’d hate to ride what I think is the course and find out on race day that it’s totally different!!

I don’t know the names of the trails. I live 2 hours away. I know they use the same loop a lot for both du’s and Mtn. bike racing.
