Diffuculty Finishing CompuTrainer PIG Workouts

Does anybody find the Computrainer PIG workout’s difficult to consistently complete. I have been following the 20 week PIG schedule for approximately 12 weeks now and seem to improve with each test, sometimes minimally. But often times I can’t complete the 2 most difficult workouts of the week. Computrainer says ideally you should complete the workout’s, but multisport athletes may struggle. I seem to struggle more then I think I should. I’m old, work to much, don’t sleep enough, to much beer, etc. Which doesn’t help but wondered if besides the obvious changes does anybody have any thoughts or suggestions as to how to improve. Thanks.
