Did USAT actually listen to all the complaints?

I only did three races this year, all USAT, and all late season. And all three are in the results database and scored. Cool!

Except the scores seem awfully low, something must be out of whack still.

Thanks USAT! Seriously, it’s about the only reason I maintain my membership, so the effort is appreciated.

My biggest bitch is their pain in the ass website. Too much hassle to even check my score.

Word on the street is they are working on that too… (the website).

Wonder how USAT ranked athletes for Lake Placid IM due to the wetsuit issue: If you wore a wetsuit, you weren’t eligible for an Age Group award or Kona. Thought you might know.

That would be a WTC issue, not a USAT issue, wouldn’t it? But I agree, that would be tough to enforce.

Wetsuit use in that context should mean zero points.

Because it is really difficult to google USAT rankings, click on USAT rankings, click on search rankings and then enter your name or number (rolls eyes)

Have you actually tried searching the results using your directions? I did, and it didn’t work.

Yep. Not a problem for me. I have 3 races listed…the first three I did in the season. Several not listed (gasp…oh the horror of not having my score yet)

If you want an even easier process…click on race results. It filters it even further for you.

Guess I don’t understand all the hassle and complaining of a fairly easy process. But then again, this is slowtwitch.

Maybe you’re one of those special needs child. Here’s a play by play wrapup of what Trispoke said.

  1. Google “USAT rankings”
  2. Click on first result line that comes up
  3. Click on “Race Results” tab
  4. Enter your info (i.e, USAT#, First Name, Last Name, etc)
  5. Click search

As of now Lake Placid is not included in the rankings at all. I guess it is not a big enough race to care about

I actually emailed USAT about it about a month ago as I thought it was odd and got a response that they would contact the RD. Guess that went no where.

Maybe you should have done this for him http://lmgtfy.com/?q=USAT+rankings

slow people need to be handled with more care

I like the feature that “outs” race directors who don’t turn in their results.

LP is a total black hole regarding results this year I guess.
I noticed that the “top 3” fastest AG bike splits were incredibly suspicious (faster than the fastest Pro splits, and all by folks all in their 40’s or older, and missing at least one intermediate split), and were likely erroneous. Notified them. Got an auto-response.
They did exactly nothing about that.

Sportstats, where for art thou? We miss you dearly. (yes, I know WTC went in-house w/ timing)

The USAT rankings before everything is posted and recalculated is always good for a chuckle. Currently I’m ranked twice as high as Bruce Gennari, which makes sense, since we all know I’m twice the athlete he is. :-p
Few years ago I was (temporarily) ranked higher than Gordo Byrn.

It took me a month to get them to change me from a chick to a dude and use my transgender male name.

Chaz is a punk for taking so long to make the change.

I emailed USAT and got a response that they are stil working on adding a few more races soon, like IMLP, LG Oly, NYC Tri…

Ouchie. How are things coming along, “down there”?

You know “wherefore” means “why,” right?

Did Shakespeare know it? I was just (perhaps quite poorly) paraphrasing him.

Wasn’t much to manipulate as it turns “out”. Working on the deeper voice now, so that is a good thing. Still can’t grow a beard though.

I’m a dude since birth. It’s been almost 40 years and I still can’t grow a beard. If it takes you less than 40 years, let me know how
