Tara Costa had a fun time - it was STUPID hard and did the 5 - 30 - 5 course… trail run up mountains and climbed 4,000ft on the bike…only issue was my handle bars were loose- i need a visit to my handyman bike man Mr Greenfield…since i cant do anything right with setting up a bike- beginners 101 we all have to start somewhere, why not today?

Thank you jackmott, for so eloquently saying what I have been trying to tell my fellow Gulf Coast residents. How else are they going to power their gas-gussling pickups, SUVs, etc??

  3. shit happens in a lot of instances including but not limited to deepwater drilling for commonly-used resources, that is understandable… the outrage is aimed more at the lack of a backup plan and the corporate blame-passing after the fact.

As a gulf coast resident with property in CoCodre, I will slightly disagree with you . . .

I drive a vehicle (2 in fact, while not at the same time) I also fly and I use a gas powered lawn mower, HOWEVER . . .

They were not doing what the HAD to do to get me my oil . . . and they STILL are not doing it.

As a result of this accident I believe we will see the remote shut off valve which ALL other industrialized nations use for deep water drilling (except for us) which is the first thing they could have been doing to get me my oil AND we are seeing more and more sidestepping and cutting corners coming out as time goes by.

ALSO - This well could be closed in two seconds FLAT with heavy explosives which has been done several times in the past, but the resource opportunity here is SO great that losing it to this style of shutting down the well (heavy explosives) would result in a HUGH loss of oil since IF they were to blow the well shut, there is no way they would be allowed to drill this area for many a years until this mess is cleaned up.

I AM ALL FOR DRILLING - but lets set some quality standards and lead the world in safety and technology - not follow.

I’d say let this shake out a weeee bit longer and you’ll begin to see that there were MANY avoidable actions taken and NOT taken which would have resulted in ME getting MY oil without the debacle we have going on in my back yard - which I feel we haven’t seen the worst of - yet.

If they want to charge me 50 cents a gallon for gas, they can spill all they want. But, all us car driving, airline flying folks are paying them good money to do the job right :wink:
