is he dead? what happened??

Is your Google broken?

I haven’t read any of the books or seen the movie.

Not even the movies?

I can’t believe I was tempted enough to open this thread. We can’t start the last book until we see the latest Potter on IMAX this weekend.

The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.

yes…and then lived happily ever after.

He turned 30 and was never heard from again.

Count me as one that has not read the books nor seen the movies.

I’ve got your Harry Potter … RIGHT HERE!

Bwahahahahahahahahaha

With that many kids, is it really happy ever after?

I did the google search and I now know how it ends…

but I’m not telling http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/04.gif

i got your harry right here…

never seen or read any of it; and don’t ever want to!

but I’m not telling

Fine.

I’m content being the ONLY o ver 30 adult in America that DOESN’T know how a children’s book series ends. I can live with that. smirk

I am usually not judgemental of other people’s habits/interests, but I admit I think adults going ga-ga over Potter stuff is just ridiculous. I work with teachers, and most of them go crazy for the books/movies. I think the story of the author and the success she attained while writing the stories in a coffee shop as a homeless woman is outstanding, but c’mon adults, get ahold of yourself (said by the adult that spends a good portion of his time/money playing video games, MLB 2K7 on 360 is pretty good).

Waitaminute, reading that last paragraph I’m starting to understand the defintion of hypocrite …

The childish stuff you like is dumb. The childish stuff I like is cool.

Does this mean I have to go read Harry Potter book 1 now? No. Good.

You haven’t read the first book?!

If you had, you might know what all the fuss is about. You’re not allowed to make fun of gaa-gaa HP fans unless you’ve read it.

the entire book is summed up on this site. I won’t post it so Bruce Wayne won’t cry that I ruined it for him. he needs to exzert some personal responibility http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/03.gif

I started it. My mom (6th grade teacher) and sister (4th grade teacher) were big into and so I started it. I also saw part of one of the movies.

Not a big fan. I can handle hobbits as long as they aren’t sharing a sleeping bag and there’s a threat of malice/bloodshed to (at least) one of them grin, but Harry Potter has no appeal to me. I have my own ridiculous interests, I’ll read anything about baseball stats, steroids, etc.

My 6yo son and I are reading the Bone graphic novels. I like those. We’re using the “I read/U Read” thing, where I read a page, he reads a page, and we both over-exaggerate the sound effects (that’s the best part).

HP is the only fantasy that I like - I read The Hobbit but had no interest in any of Tolkein’s other books. I like realistic fiction (Jodi Picoult!!! or Calvin and Hobbes

Harry doesn’t die at the end. He’s able to throw his Precious ring into the melting lava and go back to his pint sized living.

you might be getting your stories mixed a bit.
