Did alot of people sign up for IMOO 2008 Today

I was just wondering since I will be one a slave to Active.com monday at noon (est)
.

I got there a few minutes after 9. There were about 100 people in line. Moved very quickly. I was through in about 15 minutes. As I was leaving at 9:20, the line was the same length as when I arrived. They had 10 (I think) people doing the registration. I am curious about total numbers.

Anyone who arrived closer to 11, did you hear anything about the total number?

Approximately 350 registered today.

Approximately 350 registered today.
Thanks for the info, and thanks for volunteering. Looking forward to doing the race together in 2008!

I didn’t know they were doing it this way in Wisconsin. I think letting the racers sign up the day before is a good one, that way they don’t have to get up and stand in line the morning after. When did they announce this, it’s not on the schedule on the website?

Edit: I just found where they talk about this on the website. Looks like it’s the new procedure for all the NAS races. Good deal.

Did you have to pay today as well? Or is it like last year when you were given a password and then had 30 days to sign on via active?

Thanks,
RF

Sign up on Active between Sept? and Oct?.

Same as before. No pay. Sign up and get a certificate. Register online later (yes, you have 30 days).

I heard from a “reliable” source 500 signed up Saturday AM. It is a certificate, you pay online later.

Can Wisconsin people still sign up on Monday? i’m a bit confused by this. was today only for people already signed up for 2007 race?

did you move back to WI or have you not moved yet?

If you go to active.com and try to register for 2008, it says that it’s already full.

I don’t even see it listed yet what is the link
.

a lot is two words. Sorry

About 25 years ago my tenth grade biology teacher told us, on the last day, if you’ve learned nothing all year at least go through life knowing a lot is two words. To this day, it’s the only thing I remeber from her class.

Too bad you didn’t remember how to spell remember…

“To this day, it’s the only thing I remeber from her class.”

If you’re gonna be the fricking spelling police, you might want to actually spell all the words in your post correctly.

And they say teachers don’t challenge their students and set high expectations these days.

**To this day, it’s the only thing I remeber from her class. **

I’m trying to decide which is the more disappointing situation, that you only remember one thing from your science class, and it’s not science related, or the teacher only taught one thing that you remembered, and it’s not science related. It’s embarassing either way.

a lot rather than alot … critical information.

Once again things are taken the wrong way. It was meant as a funny story from high school, not an insult. But…thank you for responding the way you did.

Also…meant as a joke. Sorry it came across that way.

I think it’s a typing problem more than a spelling problem.

I didn’t and have no desire to sign up in the future but just out of curiosity to see if it is really hard to get in, I logged in and went all the way to submit button.
At 11:06 Chicago time logged in IMAZ web page clicked the link from there and active opened as busy. As the web page indicated i refreshed and used back button to re-try but it was same.
then about 11:10 I typed www.active.com put Wisconsin on search bow and open the registration link, there it was. Tried almost 10 times from IMAZ web page link but got busy page but tried 2 times typing www.active.com and both times it work on first try.

I signed up today - I showed up at 9:00 am and was signed up by 10:30. Had a friend that was there at 8 and it took him until about 9:45
