That woman at the church was an off-duty police officer and volunteer armed security guard. One of several security guards there that day. As much as you may want to believe, she wasn’t some gun packing granny parishioner who always carries a magnun in case someone tries to steal her purse and bible.
And why would this woman get more media attention than some nut job that just shot up a school with 48 rounds killing 6 persons including himself. You’ve got the priorities all mixed up.
I said she didnt get as much media attention as our nut boy is and will. I think if they show how guns can work to protect instead of kill kill kill, then maybe the stigma of owning a gun and using one for other than mass murder, maybe our elected officials would give ME the oppotunity to PROTECT MYSELF! The media does not like and will not show you the law abiding persons that have used a weapon to protect themselves…Because, guns are bad no matter what they are used for. I am trained in firearms and 3 tours overseas, do I get to carry a weapon in my home state? Hell no, because the local sherrif doesnt think i am worthy enough to carry a weapon to protect myself and my family.

What is up with that comment? I haven’t seen anything more on it, but there has to be something else, hopefully for the Obama camp, some kind of context. Even though, as the above comment mentioned, that’s a killer soundbite for any and all opposition. I’m sure it will play real well for Hillary in Texas.
