Hello,
I am switching over to a new bike and need a little more fit guidance. I measured the top tube of my 54 P3 (2000 model w/ 650) and my 54 P3C (new :-)). The P3C TT is exactly 1 cm shorter. Seems to me that fit should work out fairly similar. Head tube also seems to translate to be about the same.
So, I am still trying to dial in the switch from Syntace C2s (M) with an 11 stem that fit perfect on the old bike to the Visions. The bike came with Vision Bars - a 9 stem and 230 (why on Earth did they spec it with an X-small!)Clip-ons. The total cockpit (saddle nose to shifters) is currently 3 1/2 cm shorter on the new bike, and my knees just slightly hit the elbow pads when climbing (pads in rear position).
So, my question is whether to flips the pads to the forward position and go to 270 Clip-ons; OR, go with a 10 stem (leave pads rearward) and 250 clip-ons. Make sense? Any other advice in making this switch over?
BTW, I think I will really like the Visions when I get this dialed in.
Thanks,
David
