Is there a Shimano terminal part that fills unused connector spaces on SM-JC41 splitters?
Or is there another terminal that can be purchased from the LBS or auto-parts store?
TIA!

there are certain plastic small parts that could be used to wedge into the JC-41 junctions. I was also told that you can use wax to seal the open ports. On my set up, i’ve been closing them with electric tape, but i sure hope there’s a solution that’s more elegant than any of the aforementioned three.
When i called Shimano, they say dealers should have some specific parts just for the purpose of filling up the unconnected ports, but i haven’t been able to locate a dealer having those parts.
You shouldn’t have any extra ports. There should be a port for the incoming wire from the front junction, then 3 wires out: battery, FD, RD. If you aren’t running one of those somehow, then yes, there are little plastic ports that keep the seal and snap in just like an e-tube wire.
and where do you get the said plastic ports? A lot of dealers obviously don’t have them, and i haven’t been able to locate any online.
I’m doing Nick’s wire hiding mod for Sigma stem. This will leave two open ports.
What are the little plastic parts that seal the open ports?
Each STI shifter has a dummy plug installed in the unused port. As well, if you buy the 5 port EW90B it has two of the dummies in ports. I have a few extra lying around because I’ve installed the climbing shifters in my extra ports.
You can buy them here:
sweet. thanks for that info. Been looking lots of places for these things.
