Di2 and P2C

Has anyone put Di2 on a P2C and ran the wires internally? Cervelo says they don’t recommned running the wires internally but I’m thinnking that could just be the standard company line for warranty, etc.

On a P2 you would have to do a lot of drilling to get the holes in the correct places. I would be hesitant to do it as you would have to put a sizeable hole on the drive side chainstay to get the wiring to the rear derailleur. The other issue with the P2 is that the hole on the bottom of the down tube is smaller than that on a P3 so to get the little junction box piece in would be difficult without making it too big.

If you were going to do it I would put the wire for the rear der. externally. That’s what I did for another customer’s P3. It really depends on what is possible with the frame.

Attached are pics of a S3 that we wired fully internally last week for a customer. Keep in mind that the BB and chainstays are different so it was pretty easy on the S3. There are a lot more pictures of the before and after on our website so take a look to get an idea. They’re in the 2010 bike gallery section. LINK
