Anyone know the water temps for Devilman sunday? Will a neoprene cap be necessary? How about what to wear on the bike - jacket, long sleeve jersey, or tank top with arm warmers?

The race “flyer” says expected water temp to be 70. With the total absence of warm or even sunny days in Joisey this “spring”, I’ll bet it’ll be cooler than that.
The other clothing choices are up to you. Check weather.com for predicted air temps.
Then you know I had nothing to do with that race. If it were truly a “Devilman” race, the water would be about 70, then reach about 225 F by the time everyone had boiled to death!!!
I don’t see the water temp getting over 65 on sunday. If you are doing the sprint i wouldn’t worry about it to much…

It looks like it might rain that day too.

“Scattered t-storms” is Jersey-speak for “it’s so humid here that when it gets warm in the late afternoon, t-storms will pop up everywhere”. Those of us at work in NJ know this from sad experience sitting in an office all day, looking at the beautiful weather, only to get crushed by t-storms at 5:30 when we go out for our ride…
basically
I wouldn’t worry too much about the T storms, as Ken said, they usually hit late afternoon. It WILL be chilly in the morning, count on it. I would say mid to high 50’s, you might ge lucky and it will be warmer.

As your momma said, “dress in layers”.
