I wish they would come back. They are horrible for triathlon, but they were very simple and decently lightweight. The leather would mould itself to the top of your foot for super fit and comfort. I think it would be extremely cool if someone would do them with a super-duper carbon sole.
I wore them as late as 1997, then I got Carnac.

These were awesome. I always wanted a pair. Some shoe manufacturer did some “retro” shoes for a while but I think they dried up.
They were my first real cycling shoes. The punched leather upper was really cool. Unfortunately, they didn’t last very long after switching to clipless pedals.
Great shoes though, one of the most comfortable pair I ever had.
My first shoes, 22 years ago, I think I had to nail the cleat on. They come up on Ebay often, some never worn before. Oh the good old days, you could even polish them to a shine with shoe wax…
I had a pair back in '85 or '86. They came with my Gios when I bought it. I gave them away to a buddy when they were only a year old.
