DeSoto TTT / Little Smokies

That climb on the out and back, well lets just say I fell in the freakin’ bushes on the side of the road! Never done that before, a whole lot of fun to get moving again, by the third day it just felt nice to lay down for a few seconds.

It was an absolute great time.

As for the aid stations, I saw one of the volunteers running down the trail barefoot going to alert someone that they had run out of drink, yes the same muddy, rocky trail, that we ran, just barefoot. Now that thats a tough dude. Great weekend, hey Matt great race on Sun.

Yes, that was SO much fun the seccond time around. Was VERY glad to have the 39 x 27 on the bike. I am hoping that LP will seem easy by comparison!

Does anyone have a course profile that they could share?

Does anyone have a course profile that they could share?

If you have the Polar Precision Performance Software, my hrm file is at here.

I had it a little over 58 miles as well – 29.1 miles per lap. The Oly distances showed up correct. Was the run course accurate?

TallTim, congrats to you and your team for finishing the toughest triathlon weekend around! As for the run course, it should have been accurate. I was out there on Thursday with the race director helping measure and mark it. He had GPS so it should be pretty good.

Matt

Thanks, Matt. Congratulations on your excellent performance. You clearly had your A-game in place on Sunday. That’s a great performance.

Glad to hear that the run was accurate… though I am sure we all wish our splits were faster!

As for us, I’ll pass along your note to the team. I think they’ve got a lot to be proud about today. Nice meeting you.

Here is a graph of the course profile according to my Polar S710i. I have overlayed the 2 laps on top of each other. My HR and speed for each lap is also included at no extra charge.
