Dept. of problematic research: faster cyclists are better looking?

Just saw this on bike radar, a summary of a study that looked at TdF riders and concluded that the faster riders over the length of the tour were slightly better looking than the slower riders. Hey, I like evolutionary biology as much as the next guy, but I kinda think there is a hole in this study big enough to fly a 747 through: what about the influence of drugs on these results? Should we instead say that better looking pro riders are more likely to have better doping regimens?

They obviously have never seen Starky.

Got to catch him first.

Unless we’re talking about runners too.

Or Cuddles…

Hmm, I don’t know about this. The GC guys are so trimmed down in weight that they look pretty gaunt to the average person. If you put a bunch of cyclists next to baseball players, I’m pretty sure the cyclists will be quite disappointed.

Not just the drugs DSW, but given that riders have different jobs, I don’t think it’s appropriate to use a grand tour to evaluate the theory.

Definitely a hole big enough to fly a 747 through!

Can’t be true. I’m like a better looking George Clooney, but I’m slow as a crap sandwich on the bike.

Someone has to say it…

I’m SOOOOO fast that no one can see how handsome I am!!!
