Denver Storm and Flights into Denver

We are scheduled to fly into Denver tommorrow night and driving to Aspen on Saturday a.m., weather forecast says, mostly sunny highs in the mid 30s, but from the looks of the pics on the web and news, do you think they will have the airport closed or open? How long does it take to clean up the snow in the airport after a storm like this?

About 12 hrs after the snow stops, flights are going again. Luggage, on the other hand may take three days to catch up. Has DIA improved on that luggage fiasco from when they opened afew years back?

You can track airport activity using this site: http://flightaware.com/ The airport appears to be closed.

Denver is kden.

The airport and most of the state is closed - the airport is not scheduled to open until 7 PM today - Thursday but the main problem is that many planes are in the wrong position in the US. We are supposed to fly to Detroit on Saturday and I am not sure that is going to happen but we are scheduled for 40F on Sat. Good luck.

AIRPORT
Based on current weather forecasts and safety considerations, Denver International Airport will remain closed through Thursday night and into Friday morning, December 22. DIA hopes to resume flights at noon Friday.

I would check with your airline if your flight is cancelled. Make sure you get on another flight ASAP.
