Demerly's trainer deals

Okay, I understand that he can’t advertise the prices on the net. However, is there anything stopping one of his customers from saying what they bought and what they paid? If not, how about some insight. Yeah, I know I could just call him but I’m afraid Sarah would use her feminine wiles to talk me into buying one before I’m ready

Yeah, I know I could just call him
So… pick up the phone

Be the stronger one. You sound like a @ussy!

Sarah should still be with him in Thailand - you’re safe if you call **NOW! **

I pm’d you.

I’m not picking on you…but it does amaze me when please post a message rather than pick up the phone.

Last year, somebody went nuts regarding HED…something about email and posted multiple messages on ST.

Hed chimes in with “give us a call, this is the 1st we’ve heard”. Problem solved in a 30 second call.

Tom runs a good deal…basically the ebay street price, but with the assurance of buying from an authorized dealer and a ST “local”.

I guess one of the reasons I haven’t called is because I don’t really NEED a trainer right now. I have one but thought I’d get one for my wife eventually. I was just mildly curious as to how good a deal Tom offered. Be assured when I am read to buy one I will call him first.

what kind of trianers does this guy sell, and what kind of deal can he get.

I used to work for the implied company and the reason I know this is because Tom used the quoted the words “what you do in your shop is your business” - which was a favorite phrase of my boss when his dealers were confronted with sticky pricing issues. Also, I don’t think it would technically violate the lame-ass dealer agreement that we jumbled together if you were to mention the company’s name… or even price you paid. But out of respect for Tom, could you just let it be so that he doesn’t have to put up with any unneccesary BS in his already hectic life?

Bottom line though, it is and awesome trainer, and will likely be an awesome price. We often had masses of “demo” trainers (most likely what Tom is selling) that were used for trade shows, a certain popular “spin” video shoot, or just QA inpection.

It amazes me how many of those trainers are in some of the videos, I mean one of them that I have the boxes are literally piled to the ceiling of the room. (in about 15 stacks that tall), it was like the great wall of suffering.

I was in one of the big group DVDs…I think we had 200 new trainers there that were used once, then boxed back up. They were nice trainers, although one dude managed to topple over his bike and the trainer.

Awesome story about that. Got up at 6am, went to bed at 4am.

Got up, rented a truck, drove it down to the warehouse, me and one other guy loaded 300 trainers, 300 riser blocks, and 350 mats into the truck, drove to LifeTime Fitness Center, (first time driving anything bigger that a GTI, by the way), unloaded all said equipment again, this time with 4 guys, then unboxed, assembled, and tested every bloody one of them with a crew of 10, set them all up mats and all, went for a 5 mile run while Troy Jacobsen (great guy, by the way - did workouts before and between shoots) and crew set up the lighting and cameras, disassembled and boxed about 225 of the trainers (people in the shoot bought them on the spot) and all the mats, thank God the crew from Gear West helped me load up the truck again - 5 people, all tired from doing a 9.9 difficulty Spinervals workout, drove to GW to drop off 100 or so trainers, attracting the police by running a stop sign trying to keep up. Since the truck was so damn huge, I didn’t even notice the cop had tailed me for a mile or so. So she walks in on 5 20-somethings unloading a rental truck (with no plates, by the way… the rental company fucked up big time) in the back of an unopen business at 2am. She taps on my window with here hand on her gun, which totally freanks me out, thinking that I had only run a stop sign (later I learned this was her second week on the job and the crew at GW knew every other cop in town). I explained the situation to try to get her calm down and she eventually gives me a moving violation after lecturing me about how it’s my responsibility to check for license plates on my rental vehical. So then we proceed to unload 100 trainers into GW, then I drive back down to the warehouse and unload the rest, then drive back to the rental place, pick up my car and drive home. Words cannot describe how sore I was the next day. worse than a HIM or a marathon, and I had a nice fat $150 fine in my pocket.

Oh, and those boxes that you saw stacke against the window?, there were four rooms like that.

So I hope you fucking enjpyed that workout tape that comes free with every trainer 'cause it was a pain in my ass. Hell, it was fun though.
