Demen Cycles(bike shop in UK)

Anyone out there familiar with Demen Cycles located in London? www.demencycles.com

They have some great deals listed on ebay but phone # listed on website and email response does not accept calls. Anyway, before I got too excited about an “almost to good to be real” deal I thought I’d check to see if anyone had any insite on the store front.

I live on the edge of London and can honestly say I have never heard of them, have looked at the site and must say I am suspiciousabout the toll free number given, as far as I am aware all UK free numbers start with 0800…

They may be new but we also don’t tend to say TOLL FREE, hope this is of some help

NB

Thanks, that’s exactly what I was looking for and unfortunately sort of what I was afraid of. Oh well, the look goes on.

Um, a quick lookup on Samspade.org returns the following (very contradictory) information like why does a UK bike shop have their website registered to a US address:

I’m not in London at the moment or I would go and take a look for you, but …

Trebovir Road is a residential street in the middle of Earls Court - which is an area full of temporary accommodation. Most of the buildings are old Victorian terrace housing.

I can tell you for certain that the photo was not taken in Earls Court!

Site is a scam - notice the use of proper English in the text at the bottom of the shops home page:

We are overstock in 2004 models and we have the best prices on web.

*** STOCK LIMIT ***

If you need any other bike model, please name it and we do our best to have it within 5 days!

Also, I took a moment to look at the websites HTML source code, the keywords in the meta tags (what gets you listed in a Google search) have nothing to do with a bike shop and seem to indicate that the site code was lifted from an home electronics site named Future-Electronics (One of out UK partrons should give them a ring on the tele):
