Deep clincher wheels

So, O wise ST land, what are deepest clincher wheels (besides a rear disc)?

Planet X 101s are as deep as they come, but tubular only. Same with the Blackwell 100. Hed Jet 90’s come clincher (fairing only I think) - any others? Odd Euro brands like Corima or new brands?

HED Jet 90 - 90mm (fairing) OR Zipp 808 - 81mm (structural).

Xentis’s Mark 1 TT has a 58mm hoop but it also has those badass blades. It tested very well in the latest TOUR windtunnel test, coming a close second to the 808.

Obviously you have the option of zipp 808s as well. Interestingly enough Josh at Zipp mentions on the Q&A section on their website that they tested various rim depths when developing the 808s, and the rim depth of 82mm was faster than other deeper rim depths which they had tested. He did say that they had not actually tested the blackwell or PX wheelsets, at least at the time; however, based on his comments I would not be surprised if the 808s are at least as fast, if not faster than the 100s or 101s. The 808 even gives the disc a run for its money up to yaws of around 15 degrees.

I will try to find the link to his comments regarding testing deeper rims. Not such how they tested, whether they were prototypes or just done in some type of CAD simulation program…

It’s possible that the aspect ratio of the deeper rims was too large. Gerard commented on this as well, saying that even if they could make downtubes much deeper, they probably wouldn’t, since those tubes would stall easily, and the drag would go up. I imagine this has to be a factor for wheels as well.

the PX101 as been tested by zipp… there is a graph on slowtwitch about it… as expected, this kind of wheels was at is best at very high wind angle

Link? I don’t think I saw that thread.
