Dear Philadelphia Eagles

Please ignore the Arizona Cardinals. They are the worst team in playoff history. Enjoy your weekend stay in Phoenix. Relax by the pool, the weather is great. Let Charles Barkley show you around Scottsdale. Go ahead and book your tickets for Tampa and reserve some rooms. The Cardinals know that you are the superior team and they are now on a mental vacation to places like Cabo and Maui. Don’t bother watching film from the last 2 games the Cards played, they just had luck on their side and the other teams played horribly. Watch the film from your win over the cards, it will tell you everything you need to know. If you really feel like you need a little more, go ahead and watch the film from when the Cards played the Pats.

Don’t bother looking at Larry Fitzgeralds stat line. He’s a mediocre reciever that you can cover man to man with your 5th string CB. Also, don’t worry abou Kurt Warner. He’s old, has lost his touch on the ball and has no arm any more.

On defense we have an awful d-line. Don’t worry about keeping any TE’s or RB’s in to help block, they suck, especially Betrand Berry, you can single team him. We also have a really sucky secondary. Adrian Wilson is a scub, he couldn’t start on a college team, and our best corner back sucks too. He’s got a long name but everyone just calls him DRC - don’t run corner, cause he’s really slow. Make sure to throw the ball his way. A lot. Make sure to read all the media reports as to how the Cards are just to speed bump to your date with the AFC champ in Tampa.

If you read something about the Cards being better than most people think they are, it’s just a delusional kool-aid drinking fanboy. No one thinks the Cards have a chance to win, I mean you’re the EAGLES right? All you gotta do is show up.

I hope you enjoy your stay in the Valley of the Sun, and University of Phoenix Stadium. The fans there are really quiet, they never yell and just sit on their ass the whole game. Don’t worry about working out your silent signals and snap counts, you won’t have any trouble hearing. Anyway, that’s about it. I know that all of us Cards fans are looking forward to seeing you win the Super Bowl.

Where is ‘Phillidelphia’?

we’ll see how it plays out on sunday.
one of our 9-win teams is going to the super bowl. i know that much.

can’t say i know much about the team, other than warner and fitzgerald. fitzgerald’s awesome. i think it largely depends on how well the phoenix o-line protects warner.

before realignment, eagles games in phoenix usually had a lot of philly fans. i’m hoping that stays true. my understanding is that arizonans like football - college football.

Phoenix has a rep, and probably a deserved one, of being a band wagon town. Even the Suns, who are Phoenix’s original Pro franchise and had years of sell out games when they were good, was a ghost town when they had a couple bad years. Also, since most everyone comes from somewhere else, they usually bring their loyalites with them.

However, being that we are a band wagon town, with a football team going to the NFC championship game for the first time ever, people are pretty excited. And the game sold out in 6 minutes when tickets went on sale yesterday. I’m sure there will be some Philly fans there, but it is definately not gonig to be a home-away-from home game, like happened pretty regularly in the past.

Well said. Cards stink and have just been really lucky so far.

Eagles, please watch more ESPN, those guys have your (and most other East Coast team’s) back. Spend time watching your own highlight reels.

Especially that silly D. McNabb; that was such a funny, classy move to pick up the Giant coach’s box telephone yesterday. I was dying laughing.

Fitzgerald will probably be tired from all those acrobatics during the Panther game, and I heard Anq. Boldin’s leg is getting worse. We all know how hard those hamstring injuries are to come back from.

Remember, you beat the Cardinals just 6 weeks ago. Watch that game film. Alot.

I’m going to set the over/under for “Number of Cardinals jerseys that are being worn for the very first time by fans on Sunday” at 30,000.

i think it largely depends on how well the phoenix o-line protects warner.

They didn’t protect him very well when Philly beat 'Zona 48-20 earlier this year.

The Cards may win this game, but really we don’t have many reasons to think so, despite late-coming claims from Cardinal pile on fans.

I hope the cards win, but the Philly D is MUCH better than the Carolina D and Philly is gonna attack Warner like mad, all day long, and make the running game (Yeah, Edge) beat them. Not likely.

I am hoping against an “All Pennsylvania Super Bowl”. I’d like to see Philly-Baltimore … the matchups of the 2 dominating defenses. Could be a 10-7 SB. I’m getting ahead of myself.

Not getting ahead of yourself at all. Go ahead and make that flight reservation and book your hotel. The Eagles have this one in the bag. All they need to do is show up and they’ll walk all over the Cards.

Make sure to tell your players the same thing.

"I’d like to see Philly-Baltimore … the matchups of the 2 dominating defenses. "

Pittsburgh’s D was better than both of those teams this year.

“I’d like to see Philly-Baltimore …”

Not sure I’d really like to see any of these four teams in the Super Bowl. But, apparently this was not the year for exciting offenses, except maybe the Cards, and we all know they stink.

I can’t argue against Pitt.

Safety in my favorite position on the field and we’ve got Dawkins (PHL), Polamalu (PIT), and Reed (BAL). From that perspective I can’t lose in the entertainment/rooting department.

All 3 teams are from the zone blitz, experts at disguising the defense, type scheme. PIT was/is the original master, with Jimmie Johnson being a close second.

half time now, Cards up 24-6

!Cannot believe! that the Eagles aren’t covering Fitzgerald. They really didn’t watch the game tapes!
Eagles doing a good job of making yards on Offense, and pressuring Warner on Def. Some pretty stupid mistakes/penalties on both sides. AZ at home is a pretty good advantage.

…will it be the most unlikely NFC team in the Super Bowl???

Fitz was covered in 2 of the 3 td’s. He wins that goal line coverage damn near every time. They can’t sit on Fitz, Boldin will kill em. The Cards have some serious weapons on offense. The QB and Wr’s are the starters in the pro bowl after all.

Yep. And mostly because I can’t stand Donovan McNabb, yesterday’s result turned out about the way I wanted it to be.
