The only decent thing the NFL has done is put up a nice bar/hangout in the middle of Afganistan for our soldiers to feel at home.
Otherwise, it’s bunch a bunch of overpaid, whiney, lazy, smartass, wifebeating, drug-abusing deadbeat convicts getting their jollies off…
I hate NASCAR too, but admire the pay-for-performance aspect of their sport. Same with golf. You don’t hear too many golfers whine about getting a new tax-payer built course.
Heck, it’s cheaper to watch a PGA event than NFL. Plus, you can bring your own food AND get exercise walking the course!

Isn’t there some study where they found these guys only actually excercise/move under 10 minutes during the span of the game? The ‘game’ takes 3 hours to complete, mind you.

The game takes and hour and it’s not an endurance match. I smile because none of you guys have played. Come to Dallas and I’ll set up a game. By the second quarter we will see how womderfully on shape you are. 
One more thing. Endurance fans are calling NFL players druggies. Oh I laugh and laugh. You guys are all too much fun!
It is ridiculous to underestimate or discredit another sport…and funny as well to illustrate ones ignorance about it, especially in light of people getting so fired up when someone says lance isn’t an athlete. Furthermore, football is one of the greatest inventions to ever come out of the US. Definitely time to start up again…
The college game is where the fun is at. The pro game is over hyped and over rated.
Of course, my local NFL team is the Lions so take what I say with a grain of salt.
Hey man, I am a detroiter, and life time Lions fan. I agree the college game is awesome and where my love lies, especially Big Ten football, and U of M, where I will be attending my 11th season of football games as a student (B.S., M.S., PhD all at Michigan).
I still love pro games though, the key is to bet on them. I have a pick em league I started up with some friends, it makes watching pro football a blast.
Besides, you’ll be singing a different tune when the Lions win the superbowl this year

M football saturdays are the best. Unfortunately my wife and I had to part with the season tix this year. It was either that or the hockey tix and you’d have to pry those out of her cold dead hands.
