Sometimes on a search, an article by “Himself” will come up, but I can’t find it on your site. Maybe I am not looking in the right spot. Maybe I am a stupid. Two Examples–last week I saw a typical know-it-all one-right-way Slowman article on how to set your cleats on bike shoes. Can’t find it on your site. Got some new shoes coming and want to review your thoughts.
A while back, I saw an article on run cadence in three parts “The Technical Aspects of Running” but I can’t find that on your site. It was on Active.com.
Maybe you have spewed so much bullshit that you can’t remember it all. But I do like your straightforward approach. Someday, if I get smarter, I will come to more of my own conclusions, but for now, I know enough to know that I could do worse than to give a lot of consideration to yours.
I have an average size nose, but I can still get it pretty far up someone’s ass when I want to.
Wow, so you came to a guys website and critisize it for containing his opinions. Thats what i always hated about Shakespeare’s plays, they never included anyone elses writing. And my favorite Thai restaurant is pretty good, but why the hell dont they sell pizza their?
I think you miss my point. I place a lot of value in Mr. Empfield’s training and equipment opinions. That’s why I would like to be able to access them all through the website, if that is practical, feasible, etc. I certainly am in no position to criticize him, and would not do it in his own forum if I were. I would stand in front of his ranch with a six gun on my hip and call him out at high noon, or run for USAT board.
But I am glad that you jumped in to defend the Slowman, cuz his momma doesn’t post to this board, and he is otherwise defenseless.
All of this goes to illustrate the “internet effect”, where the vast majority of people post writings in a tone and manner that they would never exhibit were they face-to-face with the intended recipient of the diatribe.

Actually, I think also what happens is that people post as they would speak, but tone, inflection, etc. get lost and people take offense.

Oh. Now I see. You were right. That is me to a “T”.
BTW–when I post to the Slowman, I post “Dear Mr. Slowman” or something like that. If I post to you, which I didn’t and wouldn’t, it would be more like “Dear Mr. Asshole”. You won’t have to look that up to know I mean you. I don;t have a “See and Say” dictionary, but here’s a pic:
