To confirm from the other thread, I also see the document “USAT_Proposed_Bylaws.pdf” that leads off with “Proposal #1: Language of Proposed Amendment.”

USAT Bylaw Referendums
(Adobe Acrobat Reader is required)
USA Triathlon members will be asked to vote on TWO referendums involving the USA Triathlon bylaws. These will be “yes or no” votes. If you vote yes, you will be voting FOR the USAT Board of Directors’ bylaw revisions. If you vote NO, you will be voting to keep the current bylaws as they stand.
Ballots will be sent in the mail to members and also published on the web site.

i would like responses here. i understand not everyone has the capacity to open a pdf, and not everyone can read roman numerals, but with a little effort and a few burned glucose molecules, we can get this done.

i went to the link, but i don’t know exactly what you’re looking for us to do. could you be more specific/clear? i want to help, i just don’t understand how.
I have checked, and I will confirm that Article XX says “no change” and Article XXI, Section 4 says “No change”. Article XXII: Sunshine Policy, seems to have significant text so I cannot verify whether it meets your definition of “basically intact” or not.
And the Sunshine Policy (as I loosely understand the controversy more than adequately discussed here) still has a rather “relaxed” system of minute reporting, no financial disclosure, yadda, yadda, yadda…
Ok, assuming that the posted information is as you say, how do we know that it is representative of what is on the actual ballot, and which would have great (legal) weight? I am thinking the ballot.
Why wasn’t this information available 2 - 3 weeks ago? Again, it’s not so much the actual changes they (the BOD) are trying to make, but the way they are going about it.

However, following the link for “ USA Triathlon Board of Directors’ platform for the bylaw changes” a I see Proposal #2 which I gather, if approved, would allow changes to Article XX and Article XXI by a two-thirds majority of the board.
