Days/Weeks When You Can't Be Bothered Training

Does anyone go through phases when they seriously can’t be assed training at all?

I just don’t really have a care in the world this week, I’ve stayed up a bit later, gone to a party in the weekend and gone bushwalking and mountain biking instead of s/b/r.

Does it really matter if you go through weeks like this? I’m still doing exercise every day but just not s/b/r specific.

I’m not really sure, and I’m definitely not asking for a clarification, but I think “assed training” most likely belongs in another forum.

A few weeks ago I got an “I don’t care” attitude toward swimming. I was sick of waking up at 4:30AM to go swim by 5AM. I just quit swimming for a couple weeks and started back this week. I can tell I have been off but it is coming back together again. Hope so with IM Lou right around the corner.

Getting to the point where you say “screw it” is probably your body’s way of saying “dude, you need a break”. You will be stronger and more enthused when you restart.
