Does anyone know what kind of aerobar armrest pads he has on the bike? I have not seen that option before and I have been looking for something of the sort.
The pads themselves are aftermarket gel pads sold by Fizik (the saddle guys).

Nice looking bike. Guess it comes with the territory …
here he is after being aboard said machine.

AND THEY ARE AWESOME!!!
Thanks for the drool…I mean look. I love seeing the ‘dream’ builds by the pro’s, awesome. Can’t believe how close those arm rests are, thats nuts.
A TT is just not the same as 112 miles. They didnt swim, nor do they have to run after. I just dont get why people try to make the comparison from a UCI ride at a TT to a Tri bike.
(not that you did)
Why the aero water bottle? If it is only 15 miles and a 30:00 trip, wouldn’t it be faster/more aero without?
Or, does the bottle help?
Yeah, agreed. Though they may share a common theme, tt and tri bikes are two different beasts. DZ looks awesome on the tt bike … art in motion. Just perfect.
I think the bottle actually *improves *frame aerodynamics. In a short, hair trigger time trail that, every fraction of a second counts…

.
I know this has been discussed previously, but is it the added weight that provides a benefit, the bottle or both?
So, would an aero bottle mounted on a P3C provide a benefit over 30, 50 or 100 miles? If so, why don’t we so more aero bottles being used?
The cyclingnews article shows the bike with a 808, but didn’t DZ race with a 1080 ?
What a great race. DZ is awesome and I want his bike for father’s day !

AND THEY ARE AWESOME!!!
I stayed away from them after I read in a review that they became so sticky after a few months of use that they almost became dangerous to use.
I think it said they took the pics earlier in the week at the Prologue when DZ ran the 808. But yeah, it was a 1080 yesterday.
I am guessing this is the same reason some guys were wearing a camelback. Makes a smoother transition/airflow from the aero helmet to their back?
Absolutely agree. Still very nice to look at, and still a remarkable arm position even for a TT.
