Gary what is the significance of the 135 and 24 markings on the chain ring?

When’s Interbike?

Interbike International Bike Expo September 28-30 2005 Sands Convention Center Las Vegas, NV
.

What sizes are you offering?

135 bcd the 135 means it a 135mm bolt circle dia, blue print speak, its a ring for Campy, Shimano is 130mm bcd i belive the 24 is so you can install the ring on different holes to move where the oval is in relation to the crank arms
.

My guess was going to be that it is really 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 alternating sides. To use in setting up the chainring in the right position?

Answers:

markings: the markings are positions that the facotry reccomends, depending on your riding style, instructions to follow

sizes: currently since there are no set plans for mass production until after the testing is complete (have to make sure they actually work!), I have no idea what the factory plans to do … or when … but I expect that if these chainrings make it to production then there will be a full range - however the smallest 130mm BCD chainring available for inner or outer is 40 and 53

other than that, you can expect to see these on a few elite’s Ironman and Pro Tour bikes this summer/fall as we get feedback from the field

They look fantastic!

They are not in house yet. Supposed to have the first few sets in next week.

They look to be less elliptical than the o symetric. Must be a lot less as the smallest inner o symetric makes is a 42 and they suggest filing down the chainring bolt tab on the crank that is at the low spot.
