Dave Z's in! CSC announces Tour roster

I was glad to hear that Dave Z made the cut. There are soem awesomeathletes on the CSC team and it is good to see him right in the mix! It sucks the Julich misses the cut though:

Team CSC 2007 Tour roster: Kurt-Asle Arvesen (Norway)Fabian Cancellara (Switzerland)Inigo Cuesta (Spain)Stuart O’Grady (Australia)Carlos Sastre (Spain)Fränk Schleck (Luxembourg)Christian Vande Velde (USA)Jens VoigtDavid Zabriskie (USA)

Not so sure about O’Grady. He’s a tough cookie, but he’s raced so much this year… I have to wonder what he has left in the tank.

Doh, that sucks no Bobby Julich…Also, Bjarne will not be there either.

Bob

Yes, too bad about Bobby. With him, CSC would once again have been the most american team at the Tour, now for the first time in I think 4-5 years they have to share that title with Discovery. But Kurt and Stuey deserve to be there, they are very strong right now. Really tough to figure out who you would leave home to take Bobby.

I’m looking for Jens to go for a long breakaway on Bastille Day, just to piss the frechies off! No seriously, I would expect him to do so as the stage would suit him. Let’s see if he can’t get a few other stages too.

Did you forget his nationality? It’s the only one missing!

I think Jens is the most exciting rider to watch - seems like every day he’s in a long break…talk about mentally tough!

He’s German I believe.

Great rider, very strong and always pushs himselfwhich is porbably just part of his popularity.

He is most definitely German!

I actually got his autograph during the 2003 TdF when he was still riding for Credit Agricole - not sure if it’s a good sign, but he didn’t start the next day’s stage. I still have the big green PMU hand that he signed.

I also saw him at the Tour of Georgia (forget which year). It was before the time trial stage up in Rome, GA - he was sitting in a mini van with Bobby J trying to stay cool in the air conditioning. The two of them were cracking on each other and having a good time - pretty cool to see up close.
