glad he has his priorities straight. i have always liked the DZ. i saw (almost wrote “caught” as normal parlance, but then realized the cycling implication of my ass actual catching the man on the hills…riggghhhhtttt…) him riding when i was visiting my amigo in SLC. next time i visit i am going to make certain to bring or borrow a bike to ride into big and little cottonwood.

I was lucky enough to see him race a couple crit races last year, after 100 mile training ride through the hills he would still kill all the local pros at the end of the day during a 55 min race. I was registering while standing next to him and didnt even notice who it was, small guy and he didnt stand out, this was before the moustache though.
Dude is very funny in his own way. I chatted with him a few seconds before stage two from Santa Rosa during ToC and of course complemented him on the 'stache. One tidbit I recall is that while most team mates were on 404’s he was running shallow wheels (either 202 or 303…can’t recall0 but turn out Mr TT doesn’t much like the super deep wheels since they are too stiff for him. He likes “softer” wheels.
