Data on Aero Bottle on down tube?

I presently race the longer distances with 2 bottles behind the seat and the Profile Design AeroBar bottle design. Looking to change it up. Trying to figure out the most efficient and lightest combo for next year. Priority A race has some climbing in the Adirondacks next July. What do you guys use? Is this new aero bottle that looks like a flask on the down tube effective?

I have tried a number of set-ups, behind the seat, aero bottle and came back to a regular bottle on the frame. The testing results seem to be all over the place. In triathlon as opposed to time-trialing the important thing is hit T2 well-hydrated for the run. If you have to do a reach-around to drink, or lose a bottle the few aero seconds may cost minutes on the run.

Johnny99,

You make such excellent points you should be given an award!!!

If you don’t drink, you will become dehydrated and this will seriously affect your performance in a negative way. it really won’t matter whether its aero or not, your performance will be a disappointment.
