My coach told me that she is training a first timer and she was asked the other day why the wetsuit had such a long string on the front zipper…classic

Lets see…this way the bottle will not fall out of the bars and go into his wheel…anyone with that bottle knows that it does not fit as designed into most bars. So now it is a wind buffer, it is also on a road bike.
Clearly, form follows function for this rider. Or, maybe he’s sponsorer by PD and sets it up this way to get the perfect ‘hang loose’ race pic from the photog…

From the Edinboro Triathlon in Pennsylvania earlier this year. I saw this guy coming in on the bike as I was going out on the run and about snapped my neck I turned so hard to see if I had just seen what I thought I saw. He rode the whole 24 miles like that. Turns out another person, this one an experienced female triathlete, did the same thing only she caught herself about 1 mile into the bike and fixed it.
Even though it looks like a bird beak, it makes a nice eye shade.
