I have an update on Danelle’s medical condition and some information on a Medical Fund that has been set up for her to help with medical expenses.
According to a mutual friend, Danelle’s surgery in Denver went very well. She had 3 pins put into her pelvis. She will be moved out of her hospital room to her parents house on 12/22, and will be confined to a wheelchair for somewhere around 8 weeks. Knowing Danelle, it might be a bit sooner!
The TODAY show will be interviewing her live on 12/22 at 7:30 am MST. Her father Frank as well as her Dog Taz will also be on the show.
To help pay for medical expenses, a fund has been established at First Bank (of Colorado). Checks should be payable to the Danelle Ballengee Fund. Checks can be deposited at any First Bank or mailed to:

Barry alluded in a previous post that he is going to do ‘something special’ for her at the First Winter Triathlon of the Season, here is something that everyone else can do to help a multisport legend.
