Morris dancing - inevitably associated with sitting around a pub drinking really good beer.
Yes I do it, as well as play as the primariy musician for a group.
Also, the contra dance scene is a great social without taxing your dancing skills excessively.
I did dance one summer with a professional jazz troupe - now that was hard work. Ah to be young and really flexible again.

I think salsa is generally thought to be one of the easier ones to pick up for gringos. But all Latin dance is sexy - if that’s what you’re going for.

I used to teach ballroom and latin dancing and think they’re all pretty fun. However, I’d say swing and salsa are the best ones for dancing in nightclubs / casual environments.

You are kidding right… I am surprised since you were down in Miami. Have you ever seen a gringo attempting salsa, merengue or the likes.
Also, dont go by dancing with the start stuff they dance nothing like the original dances nor do they use the right music either because then you will notice they are way off.
Francois, merengue is much easier than salsa to dance correctly but its a faster rythm.

Yeah, yeah… i know. We gringos are missing the hip-swivel gene… although with practice, I’ve seen plenty of Miami gringos and drunk college kids manage just fine. Gringas with metal hips - not so much!
Actually gringas look much better (titanium hip or not) because of their better “natural” hip movements, on the other side the 2 left foot, stiff hip, def counterparts not so much 
Miami gringo is a relative term, they are not so much gringos anymore, more like expatriate cubans
