That “Barak Obama Exposed” conservative thing you’ve got on your banner advertising is just plain weird. You accept paid political advertising? Well, it’s your show, I guess, but … kinda extreme, no?
i’m not aware of any ad like that. if that ad is running, i’m interested in knowing about it. please show me a screenshot or help me identify it or something.
It’s part of a 728x90 Google-supplied banner at the top:

it was running in teeny print as one of about five of the ads contained in the horizontal strip right below the buttons for main index, edit profile, & so forth on the forum page. (obviously i’m not website-lingo-savvy.) it had a link to click, then a website with all this anti-Obama garbage spewed forth. ick. may be part of that google ad thing that comes off and on the top of the forum page from time to time, didn’t really watch what larger thing it was housed in, just gave a good old “click” and behold the mysteries of the far right revealed.

Being as Obamas buddy has his jury being picked as I type this…being as Obama had his buddy Tony with him at his $1m+ mansion prior to the close of the sale…seems pretty fitting to me…but all I get is add’s for snow boards…

It’s the way Google handles “targeted” ads. The spider goes through the page and selects keywords, and then puts in links that it considers to be “related” stories.
So, you’re likely to see ads for swimsuits if you are in a thread titled “Swimsuits: Thong or Brief?”

i’ve never been comfortable having google ads on slowtwitch, and i’ve just alerted the folks that serve ads on this banner not to serve the google ads any longer. i’m hoping that by sometime today this change will have been made.
