Damnit, had to hold off on new bike toys

Needed new tires ($1,200.00 shipped), Brake Rotors ($600.00 a pair front and rear), Pads ($85.00 a set), Speed Bleeders ($15.00) and two quarts of Motul 600 ($30.00).

Guess I will have to wait till spring to get more bike toys…but I do have the new wheels, Record parts, Time pedals ordered and on the way from Ireland…

I can sympathize. My ‘93 4-Runner is slowly dying…needs brakes/rotors, tires, got an oil pump leak, needs a new CV boot and rocker arm and the locks don’t work no more. I’m lookin’ at 3 grand plus to keep 'er going…I’d gladly do it, but she’s got 213K miles and she’s had a good life. Looks like Santa will be bringing a new Tacoma and the accompanying car payments instead of a TT bike and a set of 404’s this year. Damn…and I was a good boy all year, too.

You can always start a Hottie Brake Rotors thread!

That last one sucks. Couple of months ago, I went out to eat, parked on the street. Someone banged my rear bumber and took off. Now I have a dent in the corner bumber of my one year old vehicle. $600 repair.

That was well over $25k worth of damages there…

Tire $300 ea.

Wheel $1000

Suspension - all custom - springs, custom sway bars, control arms

Rear Diffrential

Rear Steering system (yes the car has 4 wheel steering)

Quarter panel - and all facia

Rear quarter glass

and on and on and on…LOL

yeah, mine I can live with.

Still pisses me off, though.

That is what the insurance company of the bitch who hit me was for.

Damn, those Campy brake pads are expensive.
