Damn pedals!

So about four months ago I picked up some of the new Shimano “Lance” pedals - the Ultegra version. I am out for a ride over the weekend, and with maybe 10 miles left to go, after a short but reasonably steep hill, I notice my left pedal starts clicking. Probably a shot bearing, but I don’t know. Anyway, this is after less than 2000 miles. I liked the Shimano’s more than the Looks (mostly for walking around in), but my Looks had a ton of miles on them, and while they squeaked from time to time, the bearings were solid - I replaced them because of cosmetics more than anything else.

Anyone else have a similar problem with the Shimano pedals, or is this just bad luck.

I’ve had mine for a year with no problems at all. Love 'em!

I’ve heard/read some other complaints about the Ultegra version of this pedal. Which is why I went with the Dura Ace. (Bought off Ebay new for the same price as the Ultegras I believe)

Anyway, I have two sets of Dura Ace pedals with about 1000 miles on the older set. No problems yet. Love the pedals
