Sorry to hear it. It’s sad that you didn’t have a good childhood. Fortunately there are also good foster parents out there.
I was blessed. Two wonderful parents and one brother. Our household resembled Leave it to Beaver. That’s something I am very grateful about.
not much touches me these days, im cold and insensitive, but you just did. thanks for making me realize life isnt that bad afterall. theres something especaially wrong about mistreating kids.

we have a new guy in our office who has served as a foster parent and is trying to adopt the girl. shes got some serious problems and keeps getting in trouble at school, pretty violent, rough upbringing. anyway, he was telling us of this couple in western NY state (thats where hes from) who gets as many foster kids in their house because with each kid comes a weekly check. puts em to work on the farm and passes down the clothing, doesnt sound like their treated very well. how does this stuff happen?

You have plenty of bucks now. Spend a few bucks and file an abuse case against the SOB. No, it won’t do you any good, but it could easily put him out of the foster care business, so it might help others.
Don’t expect to get any satisfaction out of it and don’t let it occupy your gray matter. Let it occupy his gray matter. Give the lawyer a check and let him do his thing.
