DA Crank vs. FSA Stock Crank

I have a 2006 QR Tequilo that I am contemplating replacing the crank on. There is nothing wrong with it, but I want a stiffer crank. I realize that there is a HUGE athestic differce with the DA being far nicer, but how much of a functional difference is there? I understand that the DA 7800 crank is stiffer, but is there a way to quantify what that will mean in the way of speed gained, similar to the benifits of a TT helmet or a rear disc?

TIA

Ben

Speed gain for a triathlete with a “stiffer crank”. About 0.01 seconds. Perhaps for a crit or sprinter roady. Save your money for something else. Now, if you just want the crank for aesthetics or to save some weight - different story.
