Cyclo-core

A friend recently asked me to check out the online site cyclo-core. They are looking for training plans to help improve cycling strength. I myself am more of a Sufferfest kind of guy, but I can see how that could be intimidating for some.

Has anyone on st used this site? if so please share your thought and experience.

I would go with TrainerRoad. It’s $10 a month vs a flat $100 fee for CycloCore.
The downside is TrainerRoad does not include any type of formal instruction like CycloCore. TrainerRoad is just a library of a ton of workouts (665 to be exact), and you choose whatever you want. CycloCore seems to be a bit more coach orientated, at least prerecorded video coach that is.
You would probably learn more from CycloCore, but you can get just as good of a workout with TrainerRoad, and you have more workout options.

This is quite a turnaround for you.

Problem with Trainer Road is they do not offer any legitimate support. They limit your options to email, email and email, which means if you have a problem you might be down for a month communicating primitively via email. Companies that limit communication to only email makes me want to punch babies, as it’s an absolutely horrible communication form for any complicated issue. No legitimate and professional company offers only email support

and it’s a right cross to the chin…BAM
.

Also, you’re not a trainerroad user by saying it has no formal instruction.

Also, you’re not a trainerroad user by saying it has no formal instruction. You get messages on the screen during some workouts, and there are workout plans on the site, but there are not videos from a coach like there are on Cyclocore. Not saying the videos acutally mean anything, I havent seen many of them so I cant say for sure, but Cyclocore seems to be a bit more directed (i.e. Street just tells you what to do) vs TrainerRoad gives you 665 workouts, a few workout plans, and it’s up to you to decide what is best. Neither is bad or good, just different.

from: http://forum.slowtwitch.com/...trainerroad;#5243490I removed that post because they did end up calling me, and they were pretty helpful. Most companies that provide e-mail only support wont allow you to call them, and so shit drags out until the end of the century and you’re down for forever and a day.
