Cyclists in the Columbia SC area I have a special friend in need. (repost from tri page)

Just reposting this for those that may have missed in the Tri forum. Any help is appreciated.

OK now that I have your attention if you are or know anyone in the area I am looking for someone who may be able to lend a hand to a special someone.

He loves cycling, was stationed in Vicenza Italy for 7 years where he would ride and race. He was originally a mountain biker but became a Roadie. He is now in the Columbia area and doesn’t have anyone or know where the safe spots might be to ride.

Trust me when I say this would be good for him as he moves forward. I can give further details in PM but trust me when I say that it is well worth the effort. Its a special case for a special person

I am on the road so if I don’t respond quickly that is the reason.

I am in the upstate of SC so a little ways from Columbia. Tell him to check out the Outspoken Cycle website. They have ride routes on there. There are also several other shops that have groups rides out at and near Ft. J. Bike Columbia has a great list of rides and routes with dates and times also.

I know they are not Columbia, but, also check out the Greenville Spinners and Spartanburg Freewheelers websites. I know its a little bit of a drive, but they have some awesome rides into the mountains. Well the worth the drive.

My friend, who is from Greenville, and I did talk to him about that especially after my friend mentioned a certain pro has ties in that area.
