Anyone else a fan of the show?
The other day I saw a re-run of an episode around a pro cyclist, I thought it was very interesting. Of course they tried hard to not make it look like Lance, but still the similarities were there.

Love it. Hugh Laurie is a f’n genius.

A pretty decent rower in his day too, surpisingly enough – National junior pairs champion, 4th at the world’s, and boat race.
There are several shows I like quite a bit
Prison Break
Bones
Psych
Monk
But House is the best. The writing and whit of the show are second to none.
Big fan of House. He’s such an ass one can’t help but like him. Smartly written too.
I find it interesting that a character like that is loved here in the US, when a MD like Dr. House would not get a job in pretty much any hospital in this country, let alone have a position like he’s got in the show.
Great show, but I’m a bit tired of all the inter-office romance/drama going on. First Cameron and Chase (a completely improbable match based on their characters in the first several seasons), now Foreman and 13. I don’t mind the Cuddy/House bit, since that’s been there pretty much since day one.
Best show on tv right now is an FX comedy called “It’s Always Sunny in Philadeliphia”.
I can’t believe it’s not more well known or talked about.
Go and watch any of the Blackadder series (on youtube) and see the real “Hugh”… He’s a very good actor and does an excellent American accent but he started out playing buffoons and it’s hard to forget it (for those of us on this side of the pond).

There’s an episode of House where he has the TV on, and on his list of TiVo’d shows is Black Adder.
Rowan Atkinson in Black Adder is probably also very different from what Americans are used to seeing from Mr. Bean.
If you can ever track down the original British Whose Line is it anyway - some amazing episodes with Hugh and Stephen Fry - also check out the two of them in Jeeves and Wooster.

You can tell that he is athletic. He’s got some pretty big guns for a crippled, insufferable doctor.
He would be so much better had he stuck to his British accent…
Nah, what makes him great is that he has to lose his accent, walk with that limp, and ramble on with the medical jargon.
My wife loves that show so I often end up watching it with her. I really loved Hugh Laurie in the Jeeves comedy series back in the early 90’s. Terrific actor and a very accomplished musician we hear.
If he wasn’t so smart and wasn’t good at his job he would be hated. People will put up with a lot of personality flaws in their heroes.
Anyone catch last night’s House? It had to do with sports drinks and dehydration. Something about how energy drinks harmed his kidneys? Well if House says so, I’m off Gatorade!
My favorite episode of House was the one where the patient was dying, and nobody knew why. They thought they had it solved, but the patient was still sick. Then House figured out what it was and cured the patient.
That was the best!

But, aren’t they all that… Oh, you… you… joker, you!

The one I like had a similar plot, but what they thought was the problem had to do with a deeply personal secrete that the patients family wasn't aware of until the doctors told them.
