Cycling shoes (1)

what makes a pair good and what makes a pair not as good? I was looking at some nike cycling shoes for $189 and some Carnac for $369…what should i pay attention to besides fit?

good stiff soles, better to have carbon. Make sure that they fit right or any shoe will suck. nice to have lots of vents, and if you aer using them fjor Tri’s it helps if they are easy on/off.

Fit is most important, followed closely by fit, and last but not least, fit.

Sole stiffness isn’t really that big of a deal, unless you are using old-style SPD’s or similar small platform pedals.

More expensive shoes generally have better closure systems, which in turn allow you to get a more precise fit.

Fit and comfort, if you don’t have both of these right then it doesn’t matter who makes them, what they’re made of or how much they cost…they suck.
