Just repainted a room and would like to hang up some nice artistic posters or prints related to cycling. The Graham Watson pics are nice. Any other recommendations (other than those sappy motivational ones- ie 'achieve, teamwork, determination etc)
My wife got me a print of Edward Hopper’s “French six-day bicycle rider” for my birthday. It is a great paiinting

my favorite is the one titled “basso leads”
not sure how good it would look in a frame though.
My girl got me the Watson “Sunflowers” print from le Tour a couple of christmases ago. It’s the only thing on one wall of our place, and we love it.

There are some reproduction sepia photos formteh 1920’s of TdF riders, available at bike stores.
The two I like best are:
-
2 riders complete with spare tires across their backs, and Hutchison woolen jerseys, sitting onthe front step of a bar, each drinking a beer during one of the TdF races!
-
The peleton riding along in 3 rows, cruising down a dusty tree lined boulevard, somewhere in France. The two guys at the side are supporting the centre rider as he lights a cigarette! Apparently they thought it made their lungs work harder (damn right) and they could climb the hills better. They would allegedly share the cigarette around the group and that’s why the two riders are willing to help the central rider, because they know they will get some! Far out!
Frame those and hang them on your wall.
This is the only poster you need:

(Although this one isn’t mine, I have one mounted near my trainer).
This has always been one of my favorites.
