So I was wondering, I am comfortable spinning at around 90-95, but my intuition says that I should be spinning at 80-85 while training (esp. on the trainer) to build my leg strength. What is the right way to think about this? Does that even make sense?
Do both. Don’t get tricked into thinking that there is one magic narrow cadence range that is the be-all end-all.
I was thinking that on shorter rides, the lower cadence might be good, but on longer rides, I don’t want to blow up my legs too early and would spin at a higher cadence.
