I am going on vacation to Vail in July and want to get some cycle training in. Can anyone recommend any good routes of 45+ miles or where I should go to get route maps etc, thanks.
There is a bike trail along I-70 between Vail and Dillon/Frisco that climbs over Vail Pass. There is a loop ride called the “Lake Loop” from Frisco, around Dillon Reservoir, over Swan Lake Pass into Breckenridge and back to Frisco. Hoosier Pass between Breckenridge and Fairplay and return. Tons of mountain bike trails in the area. Check with a local bike shop for those.
